About Erika

Hi! I'm Erika Brinley, an exclusive Elite Green rank Presenter for Younique! Welcome to our TEAM page where you can learn more about Younique products as well as the business side of being a presenter! I would like to tell you a little about myself and my journey with Younique, and hopefully I can answer some of the questions you might have! 

To begin, I am 27 years old, married, have one boy, and another on the way! I grew up moving a lot with my family, but claim Tokyo, Japan as home... since that's where I lived the longest. I attended college at Brigham Young University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Family Studies with a focus on Human Development and a Minor in Japanese. Upon graduating, I worked at the Missionary Training Center in Provo Utah as a Training Coordinator, where I supervised, trained, and managed a group of 100 or so teachers who taught different languages (over 50) to LDS missionaries going ALL over the world. I had my first son about a year into that job and found it was a hard schedule to manage with my husband in school and a new born, so I switched to a new job as a Hall Advisor. As a Hall Advisor  I supervised, managed and trained a team of Resident Assistants (who help the new students--mostly freshmen--get settled in and live in a peaceful environment) in the Residence Halls at BYU. 

In the Summer of 2014, my husband graduated from BYU and we moved out to Charlotte, North Carolina, for his new job. At that time I was really looking forward to being at home with my little one, and we had JUST found out that I was pregnant again, so staying at home seemed to be the best option. I found very quickly that being a full-time stay-at-home mom was harder job than I imagined. I felt like as much as I loved my children and wanted to be with them, I needed something for me to feel validated and important. In September 2014, I was invited to a Younique Facebook Party of a friend's and participated in hopes to win the raffle and free makeup. Then I decided to HOST a party of my own to try and win the 3D mascara--because I did not want to pay for it myself. My party was a HIT and I won $100 of Y-cash to get free stuff. I was so excited I started researching the business side of Younique to see if that was something I wanted to do. After MUCH skepticism and MANY questions I realized it was a pretty sweet gig and signed up as a presenter on Sept 12, 2014!

My first 2 weeks were AMAZING. I hit Yellow and PINK rank by the end of September. At the end of October I hit Blue Rank. November, I was Green. I was amazed at how quickly this business grew for me and I began to feel that validation I was looking for.

God and Family are still my FIRST priority in life. But what a blessing it has been to have a little extra cash on the side, and to have such a wonderful sisterhood with the women I work with in Younique.
